Jim Perricone
Jim is a former “Yankee” having grown up on Long Island, NY. He graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and followed it with a Masters Degree in Health Care Administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.
After graduating Xavier he spent twenty years in senior level administrative positions, including CEO, in hospitals from Massachusetts to Michigan. During that time, he led the development of a replacement hospital from conception to opening and the creation of a thirty-five acre health park. But it was his experiences dealing with the diverse constituents hospitals serve, that helped him to look at challenges from varied perspectives.
After deciding to leave hospital administration, he pursued consulting for non-profit organizations and developed a marketing business on the emerging Internet. Ultimately, he decided that real estate is where his true passion lay and obtained his license after moving to North Carolina in 2006. He has pursued the commercial side of the business from the beginning and enjoys bringing the experiences and lessons from his prior careers to achieve results for clients. Many may find the often long cycle times for commercial real estate transactions to be discouraging. But for him there is a great deal of satisfaction derived from persisting over the long haul to bring a deal to a successful conclusion.
Jim, as a past President, is an active member of the Clayton Rotary Club and is also a member of the Clayton Chamber of Commerce, currently serving as Chair of the Economic Development Committee and Chair of the Clayton Chamber Foundation. He is also a member of the Town of Clayton’s Board of Adjustment. Jim and his wife Sara reside in Clayton and when he isn’t chasing real estate deals, he’s engaged in yard therapy, busy cooking or traveling with Sara to see family and new places.
